Gahûs en Rose begins at the town hall square in Puyoô, a village in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region of Béarn. This early October charity event offers two 9 km routes: a timed road race and a walk. Both events raise funds for breast cancer research.
The course follows the higher ground and ridges surrounding Puyoô, with the walk starting ahead of the runners. Participants are encouraged to wear pink. The village square features music, food, drinks, a smoothie-bike, and breast cancer prevention information, including a self-examination station. All proceeds benefit La Ligue contre le Cancer. The event has expanded over its initial editions, with more walkers and runners participating on the ridge paths annually.
