La 83430 - Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer

The 83430 race begins at the port of Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, a peninsula in the Var region nearly encircled by the Mediterranean. This November trail race offers two distances: a 6 km route and a 16 km route. The 16 km course presents more challenge, featuring approximately 580 m of elevation gain, steep climbs, technical terrain, and a path winding through village streets, hills, cliffs, and along the coast. From the port, participants proceed towards Canon beach, ascend back through the village, and then venture into the hills and alongside the sea. The route provides vistas of the Toulon roadstead, the Mediterranean, and the Rochers des Deux Frères. One participant characterized it as "between land and sea," deeming it enjoyable and manageable for many, while acknowledging the demanding ascents on the longer distance. Bib collection is scheduled for race day, although a previous participant recommended offering collection the day prior.
