La Stellienne begins on the Stella-Plage seafront in Cucq, on the Pas-de-Calais coast, sending runners directly into sea air, sand, and forest. This summer nature race, organized by AS Cucq Omnisports, offers adult 5 km and 10 km races, a marked 10 km walk for all participants, and beach races for children. The 5 km course consists of one loop, while the 10 km course uses two loops, covering the same coastal and natural terrain twice rather than a separate route.
The event is designed for families and competitive runners alike. Children can race for free on the beach over short distances, from 200 m for the youngest up to 2.5 km for older children, with parents accompanying babies. All children receive a medal, a drink, and a souvenir, and the top three finishers in children's races get awards. A unique event in the program is an 800 m barefoot race in swimwear, open to the Minimes age group and older. Costumes add to the enjoyment, with prizes awarded for the most original outfits, with suggestions including superheroes, mermaids, and pirates.
