Les 3 Ballons Chef de File begins in Ronchamp, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, leading riders into the Vosges mountains for a summit finish on La Planche des Belles Filles. The event offers two distances: a 181 km Granfondo covering 4,020 m of elevation gain, and a 93 km Mediofondo with 2,200 m of elevation gain. The finish is notable: La Planche des Belles Filles is a climb featured in the Tour de France, with its final sections featuring very steep gradients. Prior to this, the routes traverse major passes of the Southern Vosges, marking it as a challenging mountain stage rather than a quick, flat ride.
