Les Foulées de la MJC is a Saturday morning running event held at Place de la Capitainerie in Lyon’s Confluence district. The main races are 5 km and 10 km. The 5 km starts first, and the 10 km follows an hour later. It is designed for local runners: experienced participants can run the longer distance, while newer runners can opt for the shorter one. Walkers also have a 5 km option, open to all ages.
The program allows families to participate, not just adult runners. Children aged 8 to 11 can compete in a 1 km race, adolescents aged 11 to 14 have a 1.5 km race, and families can join a 1 km format for participants aged 4 and up. The event provides practical amenities on-site, including bag drop, showers, restrooms, and refreshments at the finish line for all participants. Its end-of-season atmosphere is intentional: people gather to run, walk, bring children, and conclude the sports season together at the MJC.
