Über dieses Rennen
The Foulées du sanglier Challenge Matthieu Irigoin is a local running and walking event held in Salies-de-Béarn, beginning at the Casino on boulevard Saint-Guily. Organized by the association A Huec!, the event attracts around 450 participants annually and supports the Téléthon, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting AFM Téléthon. The event offers options for various abilities, including 5 km and 10 km walks, a 5 km run, and a 10 km team race for groups of three.
The race also serves as a memorial, honoring Matthieu Irigoin, a firefighter from Salies-de-Béarn who died in the line of duty with the Paris fire brigade. Firefighter teams participate to run in his memory, and his family attends. The primary competitive tradition is the Challenge Matthieu Irigoin trophy, presented each year to the top three-person team in the 10 km event.
