Trail de l'Aber Wrac'h 2027

The Aber Wrac'h Trail begins in Le Folgoët, Finistère, on Brittany's Côte des Légendes, in early April. This trail-running event offers five distances: the 9 km Funny Trail, 15 km Fun Trail, 22 km Hermine Trail, 29 or 30 km Half Trail, and the 57 km Extreme Trail, occasionally noted as 60 km. The longest race is the primary event, guiding participants along the Aber Wrac'h, a Breton sea inlet with banks and scenery that shift with the tides. The courses incorporate nature paths, forest segments, and sand, distinguishing it from a road race with a predictable pace. The event is organized by the small commune of Le Folgoët, a name translating to “madman of the woods” in Breton, suiting the heavily wooded environment. Over 2,500 trail runners participate in the race weekend, and its early April timing positions it among the initial trail events following the cross-country season.
