Trail de l'Oratoire is a late-June trail running event held in Vendôme, located in the Loir-et-Cher department of France’s Centre-Val de Loire region. USV Athlétisme is the organizer. The main off-road distances offered are 21 km, 16 km, and 9 km, complemented by shorter youth races of 1 km, 1.5 km, and 2 km. The 21 km course features approximately 200 m of elevation gain, while the 16 km and 9 km routes have about 150 m. This indicates trail running with moderate challenges, not a mountain race.
The course winds through the Bois de l'Oratoire and the vineyards surrounding Vendôme, alternating between narrow singletrack sections and more open, runnable paths. One source notes the 18 km option as the most popular, and both the 18 km and 9 km races attracted over 100 participants in the prior edition. The event also caters to families, with children’s and junior races scheduled to follow the adult trail races.
