Trail de la Dent du Chat

The Trail de la Dent du Chat is a trail running event held in mid-October at the Technolac university campus in Le Bourget-du-Lac, Savoie, France. Participants can select a 27 km trail with 1,500 m of elevation gain or a 12 km trail with 400 m of elevation gain; the longer race attracts the most attention. A short but challenging KV du Chat is also offered: 2.2 km with 1,000 m of ascent. The primary routes are situated almost entirely on forest paths along the Dent du Chat, the mountain ridge overlooking Lac du Bourget, France's largest natural lake. The environment emphasizes mountains, forests, and water, distinct from urban running. The 27 km race commences around midday, followed shortly by the 12 km, with the vertical kilometer taking place later in the afternoon. The Running Collective is the organizing body.
