The Trail des Hautes Mynes du Thillot begins in Le Thillot, a small mountain town in the Vosges region of Grand Est, France, held in early October. This trail-running event offers Nordic walking, relay options, and shorter races for children and juniors. The event typically includes a 2 km route for kids, beginner-friendly formats of about 6 or 7 km, a 14 km route, and a longer course of 28 to 30 km for experienced runners.
The longer routes traverse Vosges forest and mountain terrain. The 14 km route involves approximately 600 m of elevation gain, and the 30 km route has about 1,200 m. The 14 km can be completed individually or as Nordic walking, while the longest race is available for solo runners or a three-person relay team. This variety accommodates young runners, walkers, novice trail runners, local club athletes, and seasoned mountain runners, offering a suitable distance for each.
