The Trail des Terres du Haut Berry takes place in mid-May in Menetou-Salon, a wine village in the Cher department of central France. Participants can select from short and middle-distance off-road races through natural settings, forest paths, and vineyard landscapes. Adult race options include approximately 9 km, a 9 km duo race, 14 km, and 28 km. The 28 km route features about 130 metres of elevation gain.
The 14 km race attracts the largest number of participants, with over 400 runners in a past edition. The 8-9 km and 28 km distances together draw several hundred participants. The event also includes four children’s and youth races, a “P’tits sportifs” area, childcare, cloakroom services, food and drink, and an animated race village. Approximately one hundred volunteers contribute to the day, giving it a local festival atmosphere.
