Transvésubienne is a mountain bike race from the high country above Nice down to the Baie des Anges. The classic route runs from La Colmiane toward the Mediterranean for roughly 75 km. It is an autumn event for riders seeking a long off-road crossing rather than a short circuit race, and it offers several ways in: solo, pairs, randonnée, MTB, or e-bike. The main labels include TransVésubienne Ultra and TransVésubienne Explorer, with a non-classified TRANS50 option for riders who want the ride without a ranking.
The course uses the trails of the Nice hinterland and works its way through the Vésubie area before ending in Nice. E-bike riders are split by battery capacity, including E-500 and E-600+ categories, while the Only the Brave option is framed as the extreme version from La Colmiane to the Baie des Anges. Finishers in that category receive a hot meal and beer at the coast. The race holds a strong place in French MTB culture because it promoted demanding long-distance mountain biking before that style was common.
