Über dieses Rennen
The Middlesbrough Half Marathon, presented by Science in Sport, is a fast, flat, chip-timed road half marathon held in Middlesbrough town centre. Taking place in March, it begins in Centre Square on Albert Road, with a start window between 9am and noon. The race is suitable for those aiming for a personal best and for first-time half marathon participants, though road closures necessitate a strict three-hour completion limit.
The course commences outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, proceeds through Albert Park, goes by Riverside Stadium, circles the docks, and concludes in Centre Square. Now in its second year, the event includes chip-timed results, a themed medal, a Team TTFF running top, and post-run refreshments. Fundraising is integral to the event; participants can support Teesside residents via TTFF, with a suggested sponsorship target of at least £150. This fundraising can be combined with participation in other events like Total Warrior, the Middlesbrough 10K, and the Great North Run. The Great North Air Ambulance Service also benefits from the race.
