The second SzalamandRUN takes place at the foot of Solymári Castle, near the Buda hills. It is a trail run, not a paved road race. The atmosphere is grounded, featuring "nature-close routes," mixed age groups, and participants ranging from beginners and families to those seeking a challenge.
Expect forest paths interspersed with asphalt stretches, marked by painted arrows, ribbons, and signs. Longer distances require participants to carry essentials such as a phone and water. The finish line offers chip timing, food, photos, and a medal for all participants. Practical details include environmentally friendly event setup, distinct starts for children, and the option for children to join adult courses with parental consent.
