Rácalmási Jankovich-kúria provides the setting for the day: an 18th-century baroque monument surrounded by parkland, noted as one of the region's most attractive building complexes. The 6th Rácalmási Szigetfutás - Gyalogtúra / Nordic walking event is more of a family sports day than a competitive race, offering activities suitable for all family members, from running to walking to Nordic walking with poles. The route proceeds towards Rácalmási Nagy-sziget, the Ártéri Tanösvény, and the paths along the Danube bank used by tourists and cyclists. This island is a protected natural area within the Duna-Ipoly National Park, so the course features water, floodplain trails, and park paths, distinct from urban running. Music and a pleasant atmosphere are included, and it appears well-suited for bringing children without focusing solely on race times.
