Eplényi hegyifutó terepfutó verseny

From Eplény Bringaréna, this is a proper hill-running outing in the High Bakony, where the forest does most of the talking. The Eplényi hegyifutó terepfutó verseny is part of the Move On! leisure sport festival, but its character is trail-first: a marked route, woodland roads and paths, and enough climbing to make you respect the terrain. The course goes through the Eplény park forest and, when permitted, extends onto Mészmón-tető and the side of Som-hegy in a single loop. It reaches the top of Kis-Ámos-hegy and the chairlift upper station, with approximately 410 meters of elevation gain before the finish back at the Bringaréna. Runners from youth categories through masters participate, along with a children’s run near the center, and the SportIdent timing chip gives it a subtle orienteering feel.
