Vicenza

Vicenza sits on the Venetian plain south of the Astico River, with easy access to the rolling Berici Hills to the south and the Dolomite foothills to the north. Cyclists dominate here: La Via dei Berici is a 142km gravel and road epic through limestone ridges and vineyards, while the Granfondo della Spaccapria offers a longer 294km challenge into alpine terrain. Running is mostly flat park loops and the Astico towpath, but serious runners escape north into the foothills where elevation rises steadily above 200m.
