Rocky Point Run is an annual trail running event held in November in New Zealand's Buller region. All distances conclude at Carters Beach Reserve, near Westport. Participants can select from a 35km trail run, a 22.5km run, a 12.5km run or walk, or a 5km fun run. This variety caters to serious trail runners, walkers, and families seeking a shorter activity.
The longer courses incorporate segments of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail. The 35km route commences at Constant Bay in Charleston, featuring native forest, three swing bridges, significant ascents, rapid descents, and coastal vistas. The 22.5km course begins on Virgin Flat Road, connecting with the Okari section. The 12.5km starts at Tauranga Bay, crossing the Omau and Kawau coastal paths. The 5km run or walk follows the Pūwaha Section from Westport to Carters Beach, passing farmland, wetlands, and native forest before the common finish line.
