Über dieses Rennen
Bursztynowa Mila is a small summer beer mile in Dębowa, Opolskie, at the Dębowa reservoir in Reńska Wieś. The race is exactly 1609 meters, split into four laps, and after each lap runners have to drink 330 ml of beer in a marked zone. It is limited to 110 participants, with a minimum age of 21, so this is a compact, adult-only event rather than a big road race.
The course and setup lean more toward a beer-running cross adventure than a standard mile on the track. The main beach area and Bar Żwirek are part of the event setting, which gives it a social, local feel around the reservoir. The organizers use the race to bring runners together and promote the Reńska Wieś commune, while the beer-mile format itself comes from the USA and dates back to the late twentieth century.
