Łódź is a flat industrial city on the Ner River where cycling dominates the local endurance scene—the Rowerowy Rajd Polski 2026 and Ec1 Nakręca rides draw steady weekend crowds on routes through the textile-mill districts and into surrounding farmland. Runners find their rhythm on the long boulevards (Piotrkowska is a straight 4km spine) and the Runmageddon Łódź Błonia Łódzkie obstacle course, though serious trail work requires heading 40km south toward the Łódź Hills. The city itself is almost entirely below 250m elevation, making it a base for flat-road intervals and long aerobic miles before venturing into the Piotrkowskie Foothills.
