Über dieses Rennen
LOTTO Challenge Gdańsk is a Challenge Family triathlon held at Gdańsk Brzeźno Pier on Poland’s Baltic coast, taking place over a long weekend in June. The main program features middle-distance and sprint triathlon options, alongside a women’s run and Junior Challenge, ensuring the weekend caters to more than just experienced long-course athletes. Organized by Challenge Poland, the Gdańsk race has been recognized by athletes worldwide as the Challenge Family Race of the Year.
The swim occurs in the sea, while the middle-distance bike leg is nearly entirely flat. The run route follows the beach and a woodland park, concluding at Gdańsk Pier. The course is designed for fast racing; the middle-distance bike elevation is approximately 8 meters, and the run has less than 8 meters of elevation. The finisher zone is situated on the beach, providing a distinct Gdańsk atmosphere rather than a standard city finish. Typical conditions for summer racing are mild, with average air temperatures around 20°C, water temperatures near 17°C, and winds approximately 15 kph.
