Strzeliński Rogaining is a foot-navigation race held in Strzelin, Lower Silesia, Poland, with routes set in the Wzgórza Niemczańsko-Strzelińskie area. Teams of two to five receive a map and compass, then select their own path through the terrain rather than following a marked course. The objective is to find as many control points as possible within the time limit. The series provides varied distances, from a 5 km option to a 70 km challenge, catering to newcomers, families, club orienteers, and endurance teams.
Strategy is as important as speed. Each control point has a value, with more difficult points worth more, requiring teams to choose which ones to pursue and in what sequence. Participants travel only on foot, with each team creating its own unique route. The event is organized by the Strzelin branch of PTTK, continuing a local navigation tradition that includes 15 years of Strzeliński Rogaining and 30 years of orienteering in Strzelin. It is also connected to the “Trail of Fallen Leaves” competition, giving the series a distinct local club character.
