For cyclists, Warsaw is the hub of Poland's gravel and ultra-endurance scene: the Mg500 Mazovian Gravel 500km and Robinsonada Mazowiecka depart from here into the Mazovian flatlands, with longer routes like Race Around Poland using the city as a checkpoint on multi-day epics across Poland. The surrounding terrain is predominantly low (100–150m elevation), so serious cyclists head east or south for any meaningful climbing; most local training happens on canal towpaths and forest tracks radiating from the city centre.
