Über dieses Rennen
TCS Lidingöloppet is a cross-country running weekend on Lidingö, Sweden, attracting over 30,000 participants and many more spectators along the course. Established in 1965, it is the world’s largest cross-country race. The event focuses on trail running, distinct from city races, and includes various distances suitable for different age groups, from a 1.7 km race for young children to the traditional 30 km race.
The 30 km distance serves as the primary challenge, featuring 522 meters of elevation gain and a course where the natural terrain is as significant as the distance itself. The weekend attracts a diverse field of participants, including beginners, club runners, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals pursuing demanding endurance objectives. The organizers also provide a 20-week training program in collaboration with Runner’s World, designed for consistent running, personal enjoyment, and developing a training rhythm at one's own pace.
