Music, lawn games, spectators, and participants from the 5K and 0.05K contribute to a relaxed Wisconsin atmosphere, with the Beer Mile providing an incentive for attendees to remain after their own race.

Driftless Distance Night is a summer evening track meet held under the lights at Central High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin. While the 5k is the primary event, the schedule also features a Community Walk/Jog 5k and youth races, accommodating both those seeking a relaxed group run and runners aiming for fast track times. All events take place on the track at 1801 Losey Blvd S, with participants eligible to enter one or multiple races. Freeze for Food, ein traditionsreicher Lauf in Madison, Wisconsin, findet am Vilas Park Shelter am Vilas Park Drive statt. Der Lauf unterstützt die Ernährungssicherheit und arbeitet mit Open Doors for Refugees zusammen und verbindet den Tag so mit lokalen Hilfsaktionen, die über die reinen Zielzeiten hinausgehen. Läufer und Walker treffen sich im Vilas Park. Die Startnummernausgabe ist am Renntag direkt am Shelter möglich, oder du holst sie dir schon früher bei Movin' Shoes in der South Park Street ab. Die Serie gibt es schon seit über 45 Jahren. Damit ist sie eine echte Madisoner Wintertradition geworden, bei der es um die Teilnahme, Spenden sammeln und ein einfaches Laufkonzept im Park geht.

Bei diesem Traillauf ist für jeden was dabei, egal ob du Anfänger bist oder schon erfahren. Dich erwarten Prärie, Singletrails, Sandpassagen, rutschige Brücken und natürlich auch ein paar Hügel. Die Kids können beim One Mile FUN RUN mitmachen, der ist ab 2026 neu dabei. Der gesamte Erlös vom Donald Dash Trail Run geht an die Friends of Donald Park. Wer einen neuen Streckenrekord aufstellt, bekommt entweder eine lokal gefertigte Trophäe oder Bargeld.
