Im September gibt's in Tucson wieder ein cooles Trailevent: das Everyone Runs' Catalina State Park 50-Year Trail Race and 5k Trail Run & Walk. Hier kannst du entweder die 9.3-mile Strecke oder einen kürzeren 5k laufen oder walken. Für die längere Distanz solltest du das Ziel innerhalb von drei Stunden erreichen können. Beide Strecken sind für alle zwischen 5 und 100 Jahren offen. Das Event gehört zum Everyone Runs Kalender, die haben auch noch Rennen im Catalina State Park im April und November, und den Run with the Roosters im Juni. Der 9.3-mile Kurs fängt auf dem Nature Trail an, führt dann auf den Bridal Trail und von dort geht's etwa 2.7 miles bergauf auf dem 50-Year Trail. Am Gate ist der Wendepunkt, und dann geht's über den Bridal Trail zurück ins Ziel. Die Veranstalter sagen, die Strecke ist anspruchsvoll, aber größtenteils ein smoother, einfacher Trail mit nur einem Hügel. Der 5k bleibt auf dem Nature und Bridal Trail, das ist die leichtere Option für Walker und Trail-Einsteiger. Bei der Anmeldung bekommst du ein selbstgemachtes mexikanisches Frühstück, Doughnuts, Obst und Nüsse, kostenlose Race Fotos und kannst zwischen einem Baumwoll- oder Tech-Finisher-Shirt wählen. Die Top drei Finisher im Gesamtfeld und in den 5-year Altersklassen bekommen Preise. Die Gesamtsieger kriegen Laufschuhe von Fleet Feet.

Der Tucson Wicked Half Marathon, 10K, 5K und Spooky Kids Sprint findet im Brandi Fenton Memorial Park auf der East River Road in Tucson, Arizona statt. Das Event startet früh am Morgen, bietet vier Distanzen an und ist auf 600 Teilnehmer begrenzt. Der Half Marathon ist die längste Strecke, dafür hast du vier Stunden Zeit. Für Erwachsene und ältere Kinder gibt es kürzere Strecken, den 10K und 5K. Der Spooky Kids Sprint ist ein halbe Meile langer Lauf ohne Zeitnahme für die Kleineren, damit Familien das Laufen super mit einer Halloween-Aktion verbinden können. Kostüme sind sehr erwünscht und sorgen für eine ganz besondere Stimmung, anders als bei normalen Straßenläufen. Kinder, die für den Spooky Sprint angemeldet sind, bekommen beim Check-in eine Trick-or-Treat-Tüte und sammeln Leckereien von Helfern entlang ihrer Strecke ein. StartLine Racing organisiert das Ganze, und das schon im neunten Jahr. Wer nicht persönlich dabei sein kann, hat auch die Möglichkeit, virtuell mitzumachen.
Dave's Run For ALS

Dave's Run For ALS is a Sunday morning running event held at Curtis Park in Tucson, Arizona. 17th Annual Pecan Classic 10K and 5K Run/Walk
