Haunted 5K, 10K, 13.1M at York, PA (41)
SA OKT 10
The Haunted 5K, 10K, and 13.1M in York, Pennsylvania, utilizes repeated short out-and-back segments originating from 1060 Church Road. The distance is determined by the number of repetitions. This event is a Halloween-themed US Road Running race suitable for runners and walkers, offering 5K, 10K, and half marathon distances that commence in the morning. The 5K course involves two out-and-back repetitions, the 10K requires four, and the half marathon uses an extended out-and-back section repeated six times. The race has a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Participants must register in advance via RunSignup. Consistent with the US Road Running format, the event includes themed race logos, finisher medals, awards, series points, and a best costume contest.
13th Annual Unite For HER Run/Walk
SA OKT 17
The Unite For HER Run/Walk closes the streets of West Chester, Pennsylvania, for the town’s largest run/walk. The annual event features an in-person 5K run/walk and a 2K walk, with a Kids Dash included for families. The event raises support for people affected by breast and ovarian cancers across the country. Runners and walkers not in West Chester can join through virtual 5K, 2K, and half-marathon options nationwide.
Fleet Feet Half Marathon
SO OKT 18
The Fleet Feet Half Marathon is a fall half marathon held at John Rudy Park in York, Pennsylvania. The race begins at 8:00 a.m., sponsored by HOKA, and offers participants three and a half hours to complete the 13.1-mile course. The course begins and ends within the park, utilizing the York Heritage Rail Trail for the majority of the run. Following the race, participants can find refreshments at the Eastern Hemlock pavilion, where awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in age categories ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over. Every finisher will receive a custom shirt and medal. Additionally, Fleet Feet provides a training program with weekday sessions in Mechanicsburg and Saturday runs originating from City Island.
End of the Road Half Marathon & One Tunnel 4 Miler
SA OKT 24
At End of the Road in Waterfall, Pennsylvania, runners use the abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike instead of a typical road course. The series takes place in October and includes a Half Marathon and a One Tunnel 4 Miler, with a two-day challenge for those racing both events. The appeal is straightforward and unusual: extended sections of vacant highway, dark turnpike tunnels, and autumn foliage on the ridges surrounding the old road. The half marathon covers approximately five miles within Sidling Hill and Ray's Hill Tunnels, two lengthy tunnels where participants use headlamps and glow sticks because of the absence of artificial lighting. Beyond the tunnels, the course follows quiet, old pavement and undulating rural roads on a highway bypassed decades ago and left without vehicle traffic for almost fifty years. The 4 Miler offers newer runners, walkers, and those progressing from a 5K a shorter option to experience the abandoned tunnel environment without completing 13.1 miles.

Forbidden Run Fest
SO NOV 8
Forbidden Run Fest is a fall trail-and-gravel race within Philadelphia's Wissahickon Valley Park, headquartered at Houston Recreational Center. Participants select from 10K, 10-mile, or half marathon distances, all crossing a blend of compacted dirt, wide gravel, single track, and rocky ascents. The event limits registration to 750 runners and employs chip timing, with aid stations positioned every 2 to 3 miles offering water, Gatorade, and snacks. It is designed for road runners new to trails and trail runners seeking a quicker course than a fully technical one. Much of the running occurs on Forbidden Drive, a 5.45-mile, 25-foot-wide gravel path with a mild maximum grade and significant daily use within the park. The half marathon incorporates approximately five miles of technical single track alongside eight miles of gravel, while the 10-miler features downhill single track and an out-and-back section on Forbidden Drive. All distances encounter a version of the race's challenging climb, Mount "What the heck," a rocky final quarter mile that adds difficulty near the finish. Following the race, participants receive fresh pizza, seasonal refreshments, live music, and comfortable race sweatshirts instead of typical disposable merchandise.
Rocky Run
SA NOV 14
Rocky Run is a Saturday road race in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, presented by Athletifreak. Runners can choose a 5K, a 10 Mile, or the 13.1 Italian Stallion Challenge, combining the 5K and 10 Mile into a half-marathon day. The event draws over 10,000 participants and is built around the Rocky theme: go the distance, earn large medals, and finish like the movie hero. The course runs on city roads, finishing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the landmark tied to Rocky’s famous steps. The 5K is suitable for newer runners, the 10 Mile offers a longer test for stronger runners, and the Italian Stallion Challenge allows participants to collect three finisher medals in one day. Crowds, music, race shirts, and substantial medal swag contribute to the appeal. Participants can fundraise for Special Olympics to earn a free entry.
D&L RaceFest presented by St. Luke's
SO NOV 15
The D&L RaceFest, presented by St. Luke’s, is a November race weekend in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. It is built around four events on and near the D&L Trail: the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon, the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay, the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, and the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk. The marathon covers 26.2 miles between Allentown and downtown Easton, with most of its miles on the D&L Trail, Pennsylvania’s longest multi-use trail. The routes offer runners, relay teams, and walkers a late-fall point-to-point race on a softer, joint-friendly surface. The event continues the November tradition of the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run and Walk, while also using sections of the former St. Luke’s Via Marathon and Marathon Relay. Proceeds benefit the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc., a 501(c)3, supporting heritage and environmental programs, plus development and promotion of the D&L Trail. Free downloadable race photos are included through the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and St. Luke’s University Health Network.
2026 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend
SA NOV 21
Philadelphia Marathon Weekend takes place over three days in November, focusing on the TIAA Philadelphia Marathon held in Philadelphia. Over 30,000 athletes participate throughout the weekend, with the marathon itself drawing 20,000 runners. The courses are USATF certified, and the marathon serves as a Boston qualifier. The route guides runners past Philadelphia landmarks, through city neighborhoods, and along the city’s waterfronts. It attracts dedicated marathoners aiming for qualifying times, local participants, first-time runners, and their accompanying families. The event is frequently ranked among the top U.S. marathons, and demand is high enough that additional marathon slots were made available after waitlists were filled.

Lehigh Valley Turkey Trot 2026
SA NOV 21
The Lehigh Valley Turkey Trot is a post-Thanksgiving 5K and fun walk held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It begins at Luckenbach Mill on Old York Road. The annual event offers a 5K for runners and competitive walkers, alongside a 1.7-mile fun walk for those seeking a more relaxed pace. Starts are staggered: runners depart first, followed by competitive walkers, and then fun walkers. Over 1,000 participants attended the last event, indicating its status as a community-scale race. The course winds through Historic Bethlehem and the Moravian Church Settlements, providing a view of one of the city’s historic districts. Dogs are welcome and participate in a pet costume contest, which is held alongside a general costume contest for runners and walkers in holiday or race-themed attire. Awards are presented for individual and group costumes, with judging criteria including creativity, pet-and-handler pairings, and adherence to the Turkey Trot theme. Proceeds from the race benefit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, supporting preservation efforts and educational programs on local history spanning three centuries. Registered 5K participants receive a shirt, refreshments, weekend museum admission, and a shop discount.
The Leftovers Run
SO NOV 29

The course follows the Corpus Christi bayfront, providing a flat, coastal route near the water. The 5K features overall male and female awards, masters awards, and five-year age-group awards. The 10K uses ten-year age groups. Bib pickup is available at Fleet Feet the day before the race and on race morning at the event.
