Die Läufe finden im Rahmen eines Feiertags statt, der bekannt ist für grüne Kleidung, Paraden, gutes Essen und Trinken und eben diese irisch-amerikanischen Feierlichkeiten. Das ist eine Serie von thematischen Laufevents, kein einzelnes Meisterschaftsrennen. Hier geht's vor allem um Gemeinschaft, Familienaktivitäten und Partnerschaften mit Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen, die den Tag prägen.
