First-place overall male and female runners are awarded in both the 5K and 10K, but the event also makes room for walkers, families, and children doing either a timed 5K or a half-mile fun run. The morning includes music, face painting, yard games, Congdon’s doughnuts, cookies, hot chocolate, Wicked Joe coffee, wood-burned finisher medals for all participants, and a raffle with local gift cards and prizes, some valued up to $250.

All entry fees are retained within the event and recreation program; each dollar raised supports the next 5K and strengthens community recreation in Hollis.

Dash for Dogs is an annual 5K in Maine. Participants can run or walk the course with their dogs, without dogs, or virtually. A separate option is available for children under 8; dogs are not permitted in the kids' event. The in-person route follows the Androscoggin Riverwalk path. The event supports animal care, with entry fees benefiting local and regional dogs in need. The supported organization offers shelter, food, medical care, behavioral support, and daily care for dogs and other companion animals. As one of Maine's races allowing dogs, practical rules are enforced: dogs require current vaccinations and must be on non-flex leashes.

Komm mit zu einem Lauf, wo die Innenstadt "bursting with its own spring colors" ist! Inspiriert von Holi, werden Freiwillige "wafting those puffs of colored powder" auf dich streuen. Die Kleinen können eine kürzere Strecke in Angriff nehmen und dabei "as many color loops as their legs (and t shirts) can handle" am Wasser entlang laufen. Wer beim längeren Lauf dabei ist, kann nach dem Zieleinlauf mit ihren Kleinen noch "get an added color burst". Es ist die zweite Auflage dieses Events, das eine "playful mission" für wirklich "colorful fun" unterstützt.
