Über dieses Rennen
The World Help Turkey Wobble is a Thanksgiving morning run and walk along the Huntington Beach coastline in California, offering 1K, 5K, and 10K distances. The start and finish are at Pacific Coast Highway and Beach Boulevard, with the entire event utilizing the beach path instead of city streets. The courses are flat and out-and-back, designed for simplicity for walkers, families, first-timers, and runners seeking a consistent coastal effort before their holiday meal.
The course uses the multipurpose path on the sand, passes under the Huntington Beach Pier, goes by the outdoor Surf Museum, and continues past Main Street in Surf City. Strollers are permitted; families are asked to start toward the rear for safety. The race also has a specific fundraising goal: it partners with World Help to fund clean-water projects, with the majority of funds directed toward drilling wells. A single well costs approximately $5,000 and can supply safe drinking water for about 1,000 people, adding a practical dimension to the Thanksgiving theme beyond typical festive energy.
