48th Annual Oglesby Turkey Trot

The Oglesby Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving-morning 3-mile run/walk in Oglesby, Illinois. It starts and finishes at the Elks Lodge on East Walnut Street. This is the race's 48th edition. The main event is a short, 4.8 km route beginning at 9:00 a.m., positioning it as a community holiday run rather than a long-distance competition. The event accommodates families with a free fun run for children 12 and under, held after the main race, and includes gifts for all participants. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers overall and within age groups ranging from 9-and-under to 75-plus. Starved Rock Runner Club members receive a discount, and a mail-in discount is available for families registering four or more participants.
