AdventHealth Presents the Central Florida Legends Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K 2026

Central Florida Legends is a race day held at Gemini Springs Park in DeBary, Florida. The marathon, half marathon, and 5K all start and finish in the same location. DeBary is situated between Orlando and Daytona Beach, and the park's proximity to I-4 attracts participants from across Central Florida. The race titles reference Florida folklore: the marathon is the Skunk Ape Marathon, the half marathon is the Mermaid Half Marathon, and the 5K is the Fountain of Youth 5K. The courses follow the Spring-to-Spring and East Central Regional paved trails in West Volusia County, incorporating sections of trails, roads, and parks. Organizers describe the route as flat and fast, winding through the older Florida landscape with local flora, fauna, and parkland, distinct from a dense urban course. West Volusia Runners organizes the series, now in its eighth year. Participants receive a shirt, medal, post-race amenities, and access to a finish-line Legendary Tailgate Party.
