The Arlington Turkey Trot 5K is a morning run in Arlington, Massachusetts. It begins at 8 am and concludes at Hill’s Hill Field, located behind Ed Burns Arena. This event directly supports Arlington EATS, with all proceeds aiding local efforts against food insecurity. Participants can also fundraise with others for prizes. A 2 Mile Walk follows the 5K, sharing the same start and finish points, offering a shorter option for those who prefer not to run.
The 5K route departs Hill’s Hill Field and proceeds onto the Minuteman Bikeway. It then follows Water Street, Massachusetts Ave., Lowell Street, and Mill Lane before looping back via Frazer Lane, passing near the Schwamb Mill, and rejoining the bikeway for the finish. The walk route turns around at Water Street on the Minuteman Bikeway. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group, ranging from 13-and-under to 70-plus. The event concludes with refreshments, music, and an after-party. Pets are prohibited, and the race proceeds regardless of rain, unless unsafe weather conditions arise.
