Über dieses Rennen
The Army v Navy 5k is a virtual 5k that coincides with Army-Navy Game weekend. Runners record their own miles, as there is no single designated course. Endo Monkey Racing organizes this event as a smaller, public iteration of a larger tradition held in December, centered on the football game between West Point and the Naval Academy.
The race references the Game Ball Run. Since 1982, Midshipmen and Plebes have run hundreds of miles to deliver the Game Day Ball for the Army-Navy Game. Participants in this 5k are not required to run that distance; they complete 5k and select whether to support Army or Navy, engaging in the rivalry surrounding a game where bragging rights are highly valued by both institutions.
