Dam Tri substitutes a kayak leg on Lewis & Clark Lake for the standard swim, followed by running and biking near Crofton. The primary event is a July sprint triathlon featuring a 1.5-mile kayak, a 5K run, and a 12-mile bike ride. It takes place at Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area and offers alternatives to the standard triathlon, including an e-bike triathlon, a half marathon, and a standalone 12-mile bike race.
The triathlon run crosses Weigand campground, and the bike leg ascends rolling roads above the lake rather than remaining flat. Participants can complete the triathlon individually or as a team, accommodating those who prefer to focus on a single discipline. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles along Lewis & Clark Lake, while the bike race begins at Weigand Recreation Area and is designed as a challenging ride over hills, prioritizing terrain over pure speed.
