Everbody's Turkey Trot Fun Run

The Everbody's Turkey Trot Fun Run begins and ends at Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center in Tell City, Indiana, on Thanksgiving morning. This local run or walk offers two routes: a 5K (3.1 miles) or a 1-mile course. Now in its twelfth year, it has become a community tradition. Registration is open online or at the fitness center. A family discount is available for groups of three to six people. The 5K route follows the Ohio River, includes a small incline, and then levels out for the finish. The 1-mile route stays within downtown Tell City on a mostly flat, six-block path suitable for walkers, children, and those seeking a shorter Thanksgiving morning activity. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each 10-year age bracket, and all registered participants receive a sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt. Volunteers assist with hydration, encouragement, and course direction, with race proceeds benefiting a local family.
