Georgia State of Gravel (Formerly GA Gravel Grinduro)

Georgia State of Gravel begins at North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville, located approximately 12 miles east of Helen within the north Georgia mountains. This event is a yearly gravel race held in the morning, offering participants three distance options: 31, 42, or 73 miles. A racing license is not required, and the field accommodates gravel bikes, cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes. The race structure is straightforward: select a shorter route for a less demanding ride or opt for a longer distance for a more challenging experience. The courses are marked, overall time is recorded via chip timing, and the event provides stocked aid stations, staff, necessary permits, and police support. Previously known as GA Gravel Grinduro, the series maintains a practical, rider-focused approach: select your distance, join a diverse field of participants, and compete on gravel roads in north Georgia.
