Über dieses Rennen
Global Running Day is a worldwide running day centered on a pledge to run, jog, walk-run, or engage in another running activity. It occurs annually on the first Wednesday of June, accommodating all ages and abilities, from dedicated club runners to individuals completing a brief local route. The event originated in the United States as National Running Day before evolving into an international occasion.
There is no prescribed course, as the day comprises local runs, store events, club gatherings, and virtual challenges. Its inaugural global edition registered over 2.5 million pledges across 177 countries, accumulating more than 9.2 million miles. New York Road Runners have organized virtual miles, Meb Keflezighi has led a group run in Boston, and Atlanta Track Club once maintained continuous running for 24 hours. The Million Kid Run serves as the youth component, aiming to involve one million children globally.
