Gobble Wobble 5K Run & Walk

The Gobble Wobble 5K is a Thanksgiving morning race and walk hosted by the Greater Philadelphia Y. It is designed for families in the Philadelphia area, offering a 5K for runners and a Wobble Walk for those wanting a holiday start without the competition. Proceeds benefit the Y’s financial assistance program, funding access to YMCA services for those needing help with costs. Instead of a single start line, the event utilizes four local sites: Haverford Y in Havertown, the Navy Yard Marine Parade Grounds in Philadelphia, Spring Valley Y’s PJP II High School course in Royersford, and Willow Grove Y’s Abington ELC course in Abington. The in-person 5K and walk begin in the morning at each location. A virtual option is available for those traveling, hosting, or preferring to avoid an early start. Children under 6 participate for free, aligning with the event’s aim as a relaxed Thanksgiving family activity rather than a competitive club race.
