Über dieses Rennen
The La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon begins at Sylvan Beach Park in La Porte, Texas, adjacent to the water, and directs runners onto the Fred Hartman Bridge. This November road half marathon has a four-hour limit. The race is noted as Texas's highest off-the-ground half marathon, reaching 177 feet above the water on the bridge.
The course proceeds through La Porte streets before the initial ascent onto the Fred Hartman Bridge. It then loops back for a second bridge crossing, concluding at Five Points Plaza. The bridge defines the race: two diamond-shaped steel towers, 440 feet tall, stand over the road, with yellow cables accenting the crossings. Participants receive medals, and awards are presented at the finish. Food and beer are available post-race. This is the third event in the Texas Bridge Series, organized by 3 Bros Running Company / Running Alliance Sport.
