Über dieses Rennen
The Maple Leaf Gravel Grind is an annual fall gravel race held in and around Baldwin City, Kansas, offering 16, 40, and 70-mile route choices. The shorter route provides a manageable distance for less experienced gravel riders, while the 70-mile race includes cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers.
The routes are designed to showcase the area's autumn foliage, with participants riding on rural Kansas roads during the peak leaf season. Registered riders receive a shirt, goody bag, and a commemorative item. The event also generates funds for Prairie Paws Animal Shelter and the Baldwin City Recreation Commission scholarship fund. Prairie Paws often brings adoptable animals to the site, adding a local fundraising aspect to the cycling event.
