Über dieses Rennen
The Mogadishu Mile in Georgetown, Kentucky, is a four-person team obstacle-and-ruck race held at White Sulphur Baptist Church on Ironworks Road. It is listed as a 1.6 km running event, but the format is closer to a short team fitness challenge than a standard road race.
Teams carry four ammo cans through an obstacle section of less than half a mile, completing 100 total reps of tire flips, box jumps, smash ball, burpees, and push-ups at each station. After the final exercise, they drop the cans, pick up a 35 lb ruck, and run one mile, with the clock stopping only when the last teammate finishes. Divisions include adult elite, adult novice, college ROTC, high school co-ed, and high school all-female teams, with awards for the top three in each division. Civilian teams pay per member, while active military, first responders, ROTC, and JR-ROTC teams can enter free.
