Pecan Grove Turkey Trot

The Pecan Grove Turkey Trot begins on Plantation Drive on Thanksgiving morning. Runners park and check in at Randall's before the start. The primary timed event is a 5K Competitive Trot, commencing shortly after 8 AM. Check-in, same-day registration, and pre-race announcements run from 7 to 7:45 AM. The race is presented by The Thankful Ones, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2015. The organization supports families adopting children of parents with addiction issues and works to raise awareness about adoption and addiction. Wishbone the turkey serves as the race mascot; children can take photos with him before or during the event.
