Pedal to the Medal 5K & Fishing Derby 2026

The Pedal to the Medal 5K is an afternoon 5K run/walk held at Gross Lake, 185 Cherry Lane in Wooster, Ohio. The event also includes an untimed Fun Walk and a one-hour Fishing Derby, making it structured more like a community gathering than a race exclusively for runners. The 5K and Fun Walk both begin at 1:00 PM, with the Fishing Derby taking place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The 5K awards prizes to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female participants in age groups ranging from 10 and under to 60+. The Fishing Derby features separate prizes for the most fish caught, smallest fish, heaviest fish, and longest fish. A chicken BBQ dinner will be offered for a donation.
