The Pink Flamingo Youth Triathlon is a swim-bike-run event for children up to age 15, held at Seven Hills Recreation Center in Seven Hills, Ohio. Registration begins in March and concludes in late July. Race-day activities, including check-in, bib pickup, swim warm-up, and the initial heats, are scheduled for the morning. The swimming portion takes place in a 25-meter lap pool, with the cycling and running segments conducted outdoors on the recreation center's grounds.
Younger participants will complete a 125-meter swim, a 1-mile bike ride, and a half-mile run. Athletes aged 11 to 15 will swim 225 meters, followed by the same bike and run distances. Relay teams also swim 225 meters. Adults aged 18 and older may accompany participants aged 10 and under on the bike or run. Each competitor receives a T-shirt and a finisher gift. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age group, the top three relay teams, and the overall team champions. Local elements include gear from the Cleveland Tri Club at check-in, a cookie ticket from C & J Best Bakes, a meal voucher from Raising Cane’s, refreshments before and after the race, and an awards ceremony at the Summitview pavilion post-event.
