Über dieses Rennen
Lamoille Canyon defines this 14th annual race: the expansive Ruby Mountains landscape, which organizers refer to as “THE ALPS OF NEVADA.” It has the feel of a local runner’s morning, not a slick road event, with families, teens, and children integrated into the day rather than being an afterthought. The course description is straightforward: “Experience the Beauty of the Ruby Mountains,” then run it the challenging way.
The point-to-point course contributes to the appeal, beginning in the canyon and concluding in Lamoille following the shuttle bus logistics. Full and half marathon participants receive finisher medals, all receive a shirt, and age-group awards recognize competitive runners. Expect a varied group: dedicated runners starting early, parents managing race gear, children participating in their own free run, and considerable local “How the WEST IS RUN!” spirit at the finish.
