The Santa Catch 5k & 10k is a December running event held at Windsor Lake in Windsor, Colorado. It features a 5K, a 10K, and a 1 Mile Kids Fun Run. The event has a holiday theme: adults can run around the lake or include the Canal Trail, children have a short run, and Santa appears at the finish line.
The 5K route encircles Windsor Lake. The 10K route incorporates Windsor Lake and the Canal Trail before returning to the start-finish area. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a Santa Catch beanie and a handmade clay medal suitable for a tree ornament. Kids also get chip timing and a medal. Post-race, participants can enjoy a hot cocoa bar with both kid-friendly and alcoholic options, use a wood-burning sauna with a cold plunge, and support Adopt A Family, the local nonprofit benefiting from the race proceeds.
