Spooky Sprint Des Moines

Spooky Sprint Des Moines is a Halloween-themed race held at Big Creek State Park in Polk City, Iowa. Participants can choose from 5K, 10K, half marathon, 1-mile, and kids' dash distances. The 5K, 10K, and half marathon utilize chip timing with live results, while the 1-mile and kids' dash are untimed. The event accommodates both families and dedicated runners, offering youth pricing for the 5K and 10K, and a free, no-swag entry for children in the kids' dash. Participants receive race-day items related to the holiday theme: custom bibs, designer shirts, finisher medals, complimentary photos, and treats at the finish line. The kids' dash is designated for children aged 10 and under; paid registration includes a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a handcrafted medal.
