Summit Mountain Challenge

Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. Races occur from May to August on Wednesday evenings between 5:00 and 9:00 PM, allowing for after-work riding alongside race-day intensity. The series provides long, short, and kids courses, accommodating regular racers, newer riders, and families. The trails are characterized as fast with significant climbs, demanding genuine mountain-bike effort rather than a casual path ride. The series concludes with the Breckenridge Classic, marking a definitive end to the schedule in Breckenridge, Colorado. To be eligible for the overall series win, participants must complete five of the six races on the same course length. Breckenridge Recreation now oversees the series, aiming to maintain fun, affordable, organized, and community-focused events. As the races utilize Forest Service land within the White River National Forest, weather and trail conditions may necessitate delays, cancellations, or rescheduling.
