Switchback Sorrows 50k Trail Race

The Switchback Sorrows 50K Trail Race is a 50 km trail run held in November, starting at Seven Mile Airstrip in Riverside State Park, near Spokane and Nine Mile Falls, Washington. The course follows rolling river trails with varied surfaces, presenting a trail ultra experience with consistent terrain changes rather than a flat, road-like 50K. The route crosses short hills, rocky segments, wooded areas, and open prairie, offering views of the Spokane River valley, nearby mountains, the CCC Suspension Bridge, and local haystack rocks.
